Proven Pros is owned and operated by HENCO VENTURES LLC. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to provenpros.co and the services on it.

Information we collect

Most of Proven Pros is built from public records, not from you. Contractor profiles are assembled from public building-permit data published by government agencies. That information is already public and is not collected from the contractor.

We collect the following directly from people who use the site:

• Account information. If you sign in, we store your email address and the role you choose (homeowner or contractor). Sign-in uses a one-time code or password.
• Contractor profile details. If you claim or list a business, we store what you add, such as a business description, photos, services, website, phone, email, and credentials.
• Project requests. If you ask to be matched with a contractor, we store the details you submit and a record of your consent, including the time and IP address, so we can show the request is legitimate.
• Usage information. We collect basic, aggregate analytics about how pages are used, such as page views and general location, to understand and improve the site.

Cookies and similar technologies

We and our service providers use cookies and similar storage for a few purposes. Sign-in uses storage to keep you logged in. We use Vercel Analytics to measure traffic in aggregate.

We use advertising, including Google AdSense, to help keep Proven Prosfree. Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a person's prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of personalized advertising from participating vendors at aboutads.info.

How we use information

We use the information to operate the site, run sign-in, build and display contractor profiles, pass project requests to relevant contractors with your consent, measure and improve the service, show advertising, and keep the site secure and free of abuse.

How information is shared

We do not sell your personal information. Contractor contact details that appear on a public profile are intended to be public so homeowners can reach the business. We share information with service providers that run the site for us, including Vercel (hosting and analytics), Supabase (accounts and database), and Google (advertising). We may disclose information if required by law.

Your choices

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete information we hold about you by emailing us. You can opt out of personalized advertising using the links above. If you have an account, you can edit or remove the details on your profile.

Data retention and security

We keep information for as long as needed to run the service and meet legal obligations, and we take reasonable measures to protect it. No method of storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

Proven Pros is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the date at the top of this page.
