1. THIS DOCUMENT INDICATES THE DETAILED DESIGN TO REPLACE A DAMAGED 3000A BUSWAY BETWEEN THE VZ ATS LOCATED ON THE ROOF AND THE VZ MAIN DISTRIBUTION SWITCHBOARD ON THE 3RD FLOOR. THE DAMAGED BUSWAY WILL BE REPLACED ENTIRELY WITH A NEW 1600A CIRCUIT, WIRE IN CONDUIT. THIS NEW 1600A CIRCUIT WILL SERVE ALL LOADS ON THE VZ ELECTRICAL SYSTEM VIA SWITCHBOARD "DB-1" EXCEPT FOR THE VZ ELECTRICAL PANELS ON THE ROOF WHICH SHALL REMAIN TAPPED FROM THE EXISTING VZ ATS LOAD BUS.
2. TO FACILITATE INSTALLATION OF THE NEW 1600A CIRCUIT WITHOUT COMPROMISING SITE OPERATIONS, NEW TEMPORARY POWER DISTRIBUTION EQUIPMENT WILL BE INSTALLED AT THIS FACILITY. NEW TEMPORARY POWER DISTRIBUTION EQUIPMENT SHALL INCLUDE A NEW 1200A TEMPORARY GENERATOR CONNECTION BOX WITH OVERCURRENT PROTECTION AND A NEW DUAL-FEED 1200A DISTRIBUTION PANEL DESIGNATED PANEL "E". THIS NEW EQUIPMENT SHALL REMAIN FOR FUTURE USE AS AN ALTERNATE EMERGENCY POWER SOURCE FOR THE VERIZON SYSTEM, SHOULD THE NEED ARISE. THUS, A NEW 1200A CIRCUIT CONNECTING PANEL "E" TO SWITCHBOARD "DB-1" SHALL BE PROVIDED FOR FUTURE USE. THIS NEW CIRCUIT WILL BE TERMINATED AT AN EXISTING BREAKER IN "DB-1", ALLOWING PANEL "E" TO BACKFEED SWITCHBOARD "DB-1".
3. CONNECTION OF CIRCUITS TO BOTH THE EXISTING ATS AND SWITCHBOARD "DB-1" WILL NEED TO BE PERFORMED UNDER GOVERNANCE OF AN APPROVED MOP. PREP WORK FOR THIS MOP WILL INCLUDE INSTALLATION OF THE NEW WIRE IN CONDUIT WITH WIRE COILED FOR FINAL TERMINATION DURING THE MOP. PREP WORK SHALL ALSO INCLUDE INSTALLATION OF ALL NEW TEMPORARY POWER DISTRIBUTION EQUIPMENT AND TEMPORARY CIRCUITS FOR THE MOP. DURING THE MOP, PANEL "E" SHALL BE ENERGIZED BY A TEMPORARY CIRCUIT FROM THE EXISTING VZ STANDBY GENERATOR, WITH A TEMPORARY GENERATOR CONNECTED AS A BACKUP SOURCE. POWER SUPPLY TO SWITCHBOARDS "DP-2", "DP-3", AND PANEL "HA" SHALL BE TRANSFERRED TO TEMPORARY CIRCUITS FROM PANEL "E". THE VZ ATS WILL THEN BE DE-ENERGIZED AND

Amend Permit 3/9/2023 - Electrical work associated with - Remove (3) existing 500kW standby diesel generators and associated day tanks, underground fuel storage, and fuel system accessories. Install 2000kW standby diesel generators, a new 400-gallon ul-142 double wall day tank with return pump, new 12,000-gallon ul-2085 double wall Protected aboveground fuel storage tank and associated concrete tank pad, new duplex supply pump package, new fuel filter/polisher system, and associated fuel piping. We will also remove existing paralleling switchgear and generator switchgear and replace them with a new generator switchgear.

The project includes 7 new structures and 1 existing structure in the shipyard.
There are 6 new ten structures and 1 new trailer structure and 1 existing tent structure that will require new electrical systems.
A new electrical distribution system is being proposed to distribute power to the 8 structures.
There is an existing 13.2 kV underground electrical service loop in the shipyard that will be tapped to provide power to the new structures.
A 13.2kV switch will be provided to feed a 1500 kVA transformer. The 1500 kVA transformer will then feed a 2000 amp, 480/277 volt, 3 phase, 4 wire switch board (Main Switchboard).
From the Main Switchboard 200 amp feeders will be provided underground to each structure.
At each structure there will be the following:
1. 200A, 480/277 volt, 3 phase, 4 wire panel.
2. 45 kVA, 480 volt primary, 208/120 volt secondary, 3 phase, 4 wire transformer.
3. 150A, 208/120 volt, 3 phase, 4 wire panel.
In addition a duct bank will be provided for future extension of power to the south pier.
