Originally designed steel bridging will expose and jeopardize the existing building envelope.?? The structural engineer has recommended another option to support the load of a 3rd floor. The new design includes an interior PSL dropped beam underneath the 3rd floor supported by 4x4 wood posts carried down into the existing exterior masonry wall below.?
