Hertz is proposing to install 10 EV charging stations within its Maintenance Area at the Sacramento International Airport. The equipment proposed is the Tesla Gen 3 stations, each rated for a maximum of 11.5 kW. It should be noted that the Gen 3 charger is within the category of a “Level 2” charger, with an overnight recharging period. No DC Fast Charging equipment is proposed as part of this request. Each charging station will be fed from a new 400A panel. This panel will be fed from the existing 1600A switchboard located within the Hertz Maintenance Building, each on a dedicated branch circuit. The total load of each charger is 11.5 kW. The total demand for the ten chargers does not exceed 125 kW., CH-01 Relocation of four (4) proposed electric vehicle (EV) charging stations to accommodate for a new structure being built on the site and removal of utility meter no longer required by SMUD. Overall scope of the project has not changed since original approval which is for the installation of 10 EV charging stations at the Hertz Maintenance Area at the Sacramento International Airport. EV chargers to be relocated will still be located within the Hertz Maintenance Area.
