About Proven Pros

Finding a contractor usually means trusting marketing. The companies that rank highest are the ones that spend the most on ads or work hardest at collecting reviews. None of that tells you whether they have actually done the work.

Proven Pros takes a different starting point: the public record. Every legal construction job produces a building permit, and every permit names the contractor who pulled it. We collect those permits across the country and link them to contractors, so you can see what a company has really built, where, and how recently.

That makes the track records here hard to fake. A contractor cannot buy their way to the top or pad their numbers. The data is what the building departments recorded.

We are honest about the limits, too. Permit records are not complete everywhere, names do not always match cleanly, and we would rather leave a job unlinked than attribute it to the wrong company.
